Stanz@Ravenna · International student guide

Find your room in Ravenna before you arrive in Italy

Coming to Ravenna for university, Erasmus, a PhD, an internship or work? You shouldn’t have to choose a home sight unseen. Explore the actual rooms and shared spaces through professional photos and virtual tours, receive up-to-date availability by email and arrange your stay before travelling. We’ll guide you through the bilingual rental agreement and the paperwork you need to move in.

Why choose Stanz@Ravenna?

Historic city-centre locations. Our apartments are in central Ravenna, with university facilities and the city’s social life within walking distance or a short bicycle ride, depending on your destination. This is a practical advantage over more outlying student residences such as Via Marconi – A Student Place, especially if you want to enjoy the city every day.

A dedicated apartment manager. You are not simply renting a room: you have a human point of contact for managing your accommodation and clear support procedures.

Experience since 2024. Stanz@Ravenna has hosted dozens of young people from numerous countries since opening in 2024. In the past year, our contract renewal rate exceeded 80%. Many of our residents choose to stay with us.

Italian tax code (codice fiscale): we help you apply

An Italian tax code is normally needed to identify the parties when registering a residential rental agreement with the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate). If you do not yet have one, we help you understand which documents to prepare and which official channels to use. The Agenzia delle Entrate, your university’s international student services and, where relevant, the Italian consulate abroad can provide official guidance.

The tax code is issued by the competent authorities, not by Stanz@Ravenna. We assist you with the steps and paperwork.

Individual rental agreements and registration

We use individual rental agreements and arrange registration with the Agenzia delle Entrate when legally required. A properly registered agreement can be helpful for certain university or administrative procedures and, where accepted by the relevant authority, as accommodation documentation for immigration-related applications.

Important: visa, residence permit, scholarship and other eligibility requirements depend on the authority involved. Reserving a room or registering a rental contract does not automatically guarantee a visa, residence permit or benefit.

See your future home before travelling

When booking a room from abroad, you want to know what you will find when you arrive. That is why we provide high-quality professional photography and virtual tours of our apartments, individual bedrooms and shared living spaces. You can explore the layout, furnishings and common areas remotely before making a decision.

This transparency is one of the reasons young people moving from elsewhere in Europe, Asia, the Americas and other parts of the world choose our accommodation: they can view the property in advance, compare their options and rely on proper bilingual rental agreements in Italian and English, as well as support from a dedicated apartment manager.
